Aquarium of La Rochelle

The Aquarium de La Rochelle in Charente-Maritime is located opposite the Old Port of La Rochelle. Right in the town centre, with a car park right next door. The Aquarium is less than an hour's drive from the Val de Boutonne campsite, with a car park right next to it.

A visit of over two hours to discover the heart of the oceans. Covering an area of 8,445m², you can see over 12,000 animals and 600 species in 75 aquariums. You'll also find a gift shop with an original selection of souvenirs and a restaurant with a tropical atmosphere. During the summer, visit the Aquarium by night!

From the Aquarium, you can also enjoy the city of La Rochelle, with a stroll along the harbour and through the old town just around the corner. A charming town to discover on foot or by bicycle. A pioneering city for cycling! La Rochelle is the capital of Charente-Maritime. You can enjoy an exceptional view from the top of the medieval towers, stroll under the arcades and discover the superb shops or have a snack on the sunny terraces along the old port. A walk recommended by the campsite, you're less than an hour's drive away!
